The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran Abbas Araghchi Warned on Saturday, before the US launched air strikes about the nuclear facilities of the country in Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, that if the United States were involved in the Israel-Iran conflict, the result would be “whole, very dangerous” for everyone. The US launched attacks on Saturday evening around 8 p.m.
“The tweets, interviews by the American president, [it’s] Very clear that he is talking about American leadership about these questions [of a potential U.S. involvement]”Aragachi told reporters, according to To Time Magazine. “Unfortunately we have heard that the US is participating in this aggression. That would be very unfortunate and I think that would be very, very dangerous for everyone.”
Trump had previously indicated that the US was not involved in the Israeli strikes and that he intended to give the situation for two weeks, which implied that the US negotiations were a possibility. Iranian officials replied that conversations would not be useful while Israeli attacks continued.
“To return to diplomacy, the aggression must be stopped,” said Araghchi. “I cannot negotiate with the United States when our people are under bombing, under the support of the United States.”
After Saturday’s American bombing, the Iranian officials said that the nuclear agency of the country had already moved all the relevant nuclear material from the three that were affected, according to MSNBC.
In the first months of his second term, Trump stated several times that a deal with Iran should take on a ban on the enriching uranium of the nation – something with which they can produce nuclear weapons.
He has also called for slightly more permanent than a ceasefire.
“We are looking for better than a ceasefire,” Trump told reporters at Air Force One on 17 June when he left the G7 summit. “A real ending, no cease-fire. End … completely give up.”
In the meantime, after Saturday’s American air strikes, Iran said that all communication in the country was cut to prevent officials called “Israeli infiltration.” For each reports, chaos and insecurity are deepened on site among the approximately nine million inhabitants of Tehran.
