Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has denied reports that the Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has agreed to a large move to the Saudi-Arab club Al Hilal.
Buruk made it clear that Osimhen is still enjoying his time in Istanbul and has not made a definitive decision about his future.
Earlier this week, various reports claimed, including Sky Sports via Fotolti, that the Super Eagles star had reached an agreement with All Hilal and his parent club Napoli. The reports suggested that a huge deal of three years worth € 120 million was on the table, depending on the approval of the Saudi authorities.
Osimhen, 25, is currently on loan in Galatasaray from Napoli and has had an excellent season. He scored 36 goals and offered eight assists in 40 performances and played a key role in Galatasaray’s title win, especially after the injury of Mauro Icardi.
Despite the fact that until 2025 he is still under contract with Napoli and have a release clause of £ 63 million (€ 75 million), various top European clubs – including Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal – have shown interest in the attacker.
However, Galatasaray Baas Buruk says that the reports on a move to Saudi Arabia are false.
“Osimhen will look at the conditions,” said Buruk I just spokeby NTV Sport. “He is very happy here in Galatasaray. These are the best days of his life. The player will decide his future.
“There are conversations, but nothing agrees with the Arab side. He is a professional and has done incredible work for us. We hope he will stay, but we respect every decision he makes.”
While rumors continue to grow, Galatasaray Osimhen want to keep and you are preparing to offer him another week to make a definitive decision.
For now it does not seem to close a deal and the future of one of the best attackers in Africa remains open.
