Eknath Shind-guided Shiv Sena Mla Sanjay Gaikwad was taken to the Thakkeray Cousins for their opposition against Hindi and the three-language policy in Maharashtra-Scholen and called Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj as well in 16 languages.

Speaking with reporters on Saturday, Gaikwad Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Tackeray and MNS President Raj Tackeray or the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was a “fool” to have himself traced with multiple languages.

“Was Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj a fool to learn 16 languages? Tarabai and Jeabai knew several languages, including Hindi. Were they fools? We would all have to learn as many languages as we can,” said Gaikwad.

His comments came after Raj and UDDHAV Thakkeray first shared the stage in nearly two decades to mark their “success” when getting the government-led government to deduct two government resolutions (GRS) about the three languages policy under Nep 2020, and schools of Hindi.

During the event, UDDHAV and Raj Tackeray had sworn to resist all the government’s attempts to “impose” Marathi in the state Hindi and “sidelines”.

Gaikwad hit the Thakeray -Neeven and accused them of pampering them at the language policy.

“It is wrong to surrender to politics about the issue of language. We even have to learn Urdu if we want to stop terrorism. I have said this several times,” the Buldhana MLA claimed.

Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, according to historians, was a highly educated monarch that showed control over different languages, including Sanskrit, Marathi and Hindustani, and his works in these languages are considered a very high scholastic merit.
