A video of an Air Ambulance helicopter that makes an emergency landing in the Kedarnath of Uttarakhand after developing a technical snag has become viral on social media.
The helicopter reportedly suffered a malfunction in the Staartrotor, after which the pilot brought him with great difficulty to land. The rapid thinking of the pilot saved three lives, local officials said.
Images of the incident showed that the helicopter quickly arrived for an emergency landing, but came into existence at the helicopter platform and the side of the facility.
After it had landed, the helicopter took a full 360 degree bend because of the elevator generated by the still moving Rotors. People who were near the helicopter were seen to the helicopter to help save.
The ‘Sanjeevani’ helicopter ambulance was managed by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Rishikesh, reported PTI news agency.
Two doctors and a pilot who were in the helicopter are safe, said District Tourism Development Officer Rahul Chaubey.
The Air ambulance came to Kedarnath to save a pilgrim who suffered from respiratory cabinet when the technical snag developed in his catotor and made the emergency landing, said Mr. Chaubey, who is also the node for the helicopter service.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) will conduct an investigation into the incident, Mr. Choubey said.
