Danielle Klian, 22, was lagging behind after a horror crash left her without some of her foot. She now needs an amputation on her leg after the disaster accident in Thailand
A young woman remembered how “everything turned black” after a drunk driver collapsed into her scooter and left her foot “crushed as glass”.
Danielle Klian, from Canada, enjoyed her “dream” tour in Thailand when she suffered the “near -death experience”. The content -maker woke up with everyone “screaming” around her while she looked down and saw that the upper half of her foot was “scammed”.
Fortunately, her sister and brother -in -law were on vacation in the neighborhood and hurried to the stage. But when they reached the hospital, the doctors wanted to amputate her leg. Although they have succeeded in postponing the most important amputation, Danielle has left behind pain and now thinks that the limb must be completely removed.
Danielle shared the news earlier this month with her 32,000 Instagram followers. The content maker said: “I had just gone through a near-death experience, so my mind was not ready to tackle the trauma of losing part of my leg.

“But I had no idea how difficult it would be. The bones were so crushed that even after the reconstruction they never really melted good. I had several operations and so much rehabilitation, but it is as if my foot never remembered how to function.”
She added: “The pain has become chronic. Every day I dive and never healed as we had hoped. I don’t think I will ever be fully prepared for it – it is such a life -changing decision, but I know that I might never be able to walk on this leg without pain or suffering.
Danielle had been in Thailand for a few months when she was hit by a drunken driver a little more than a year ago on 13 April. She had spent the day “laughing with friends and strangers”. Reminding the test, she said: ‘I stepped on my bike and it was one of those rare moments when everything felt like a dream. Then everything turned around; I saw lights, felt the impact and everything turned black.
“I thought I was dead. When I opened my eyes, I saw people running, and I could hear people shouting. I remember that I was trying to stand, but the shock was immediately. My bones were crushed and I did not fully understand what I saw. I was darkened again, and when I woke up, I was sitting behind a pick-up truck and a man who still held me.” “
Fortunately, her sister and brother -in -law traveled in the same area. They rushed directly to the hospital after a local woman called them on Danielle’s phone. She said: “The upper half of my foot was scammed and every bone in my foot was ground like glass.
“There was no structure left – it was weak. The Thai doctors wanted to amputate immediately because there was nothing to rebuild. But I couldn’t make that decision yet and I was not ready to say goodbye to my foot.” She continued: “Pain is not the word. It was this deep, burning pain. But I also felt numb and terrified.”
Danielle does not yet have a date for her amputation, but her way of thinking has begun to shift. She feels that there is something “empowerments” about finally making a decision. “I don’t lose part of me,” said the maker. “I threw the rest of me back. Amputation will not be easy, but I know that the possibilities that can come out of it will definitely outweigh the options I have when I keep it. When I was hit, I almost died and I really come up with everything you need to be grateful for.”
