Brighton attacker Joao Pedro will arrive in Chelsea for a fee in the £ 60 million region.
However, the English winger will join the Chelsea team for the preseason after the blues corresponded to a fee of more than £ 55 million.
Here, Standard sport Look how the couple could fit into the Chelsea system.
Play Pedro through the middle
Pedro has built up a reputation as a flammable but talented attacker after scoring 30 goals in 70 performances in a two -year spell in Brighton.
The insulting nature of the 23-year-old, he received a red card against Brentford in April to play Nathan Collins for the ball, reflects the temperament of extraordinary Chelsea Vooruit Nicolas Jackson, who received two red cards in his last two games for the blues.
But unlike Jackson, Pedro is considered a reliable goal scorer and will probably take the place of Want-Away Forward Christopher Nunku, who competes for minutes in Center-Forward in addition to Delap, an arrival of £ 30 million from the city of Ipswich.
Where Delap is a more traditional attacker, Pedro offers versatility and is more related to a false nine because of his tendency to get involved in the accumulated game.
While Delap had only 9.1 fits per match per match last season, albeit for a struggling side of Ipswich. Pedro managed 22.3 passes per game, a significant increase in Delap, which speaks to his technical skill.
The ability of Pedro to drop deeply in the search for the ball helps to push Chelsea wing players forward and offers Maresca some much needed versatility to the tip of Chelsea’s attack. He could even play Delap if Maresca wants to play with two strikers.
Gittens can play on both wings
While he can mainly play a left wing player, gittens can also play from the right side and even, occasionally, played through the middle.
He enjoyed a Breakout campaign with Borussia Dortmund last season, scored 12 goals and gave five assists in all competitions. The 20-year-old was sketched as the most important target of Chelsea to replace Jadon Sancho, who returned to Manchester United after a season loan.
Gittens is still something of an unknown quantity, but Chelsea will be encouraged by his impressive versions in last season’s Champions League – De Blues returns to Europe Premier Cup competition for the first time since 2023.

The versatility of Gittens will also help him in what a fierce competitive struggle for minutes is a bright competitive battle.
Pedro can offer coverage with the left wing
Because Pedro is not an out-out center, Pedro can offer coverage on the flanks, not that Chelsea has no options in that department.
Pedro is an excellent dribbler of the ball and has the opportunity to beat a man who often starts widely before he drives in to offer Danny Welbeck support during his time in Brighton.
He was an appropriate deputy when Kaoru Mitoma struggled with an injury, and with Chelsea who competed for four fronts this season, his versatility could be important.
The exact composition of Chelsea’s front line next season is unclear, marked with various players to leave and always on the market for new additions.
In Pedro and Gittens, however, they have two versatile, young attackers who, if nothing else, will get the best from Chelsea’s current attacking talent.
