A 25-year-old man was abducted in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood at the weekend and forced to withdraw cash from an ATM and transfer funds through a bank app, according to police reports.

The victim ran late on Saturday evening near the intersection of North Avenue and Wells Street when two men approached him. Allegedly they forced him in a vehicle under shot and brought him to a nearby cash machine and force him to withdraw cash. They then demanded that he transmitted extra funds via a mobile bank request. After the transactions, the attackers released the victim unharmed.
