Once seen as rivals, Indian IT service companies and GCCs now form strong partnerships focused on innovation, speed and value creation. These partnerships go beyond traditional outsourcing, involving joint development of new technologies, shared platforms and business -oriented results. With more than 70% of the new GCC projects that now entail cooperation with IT service providers, this trend transforms the IT industry of India and strengthens its role as a global hub for advanced technology and digital innovation.

During the 44th annual general meeting of the company, Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani emphasized that GCCs are no longer considered competitors, but originated as important customers for the company.

Madhusudan Hegde, EVP and Business Unit Head – Business Process Services and GCCs at Coforge, shared that the company has been supporting global capacity centers for several years. The industry focus on banking, financial services, insurance, travel, health care and the public sector has played a key role in shaping its GCC strategy and the offer.

“Companies must approach GCCs from the position of coexistence, cooperation and co-creation. GCCs as a mandate have shifted from operational efficiency to the making of value and innovation. What previously used to be a captive center is now a capacity center, now moving to an innovation center, now, he is transferring, a nervation center, that is now a transfer center, that is, a newly transfer center, he is a newly transferring center,, a nu, a nu, a novation center, now, a novation center, that is, a novation center, that he is, overovatie center,, a novation center, now, a novation center, to an overovation center, that is, a novation center, now, a novation center, to an overovation center, that he is, a novation center, now, to be switched, a novation center, overdovation center, now, a novation center, overdovation, now, a novation center, overdovation center. Innovation center, now transcends to an innovation center.

“We can see if we can bring accelerators, frameworks and distinctions to the GCC as Coforge. We evaluate their goals and seeing if it is AI, cloud modernization, product technology or other emerging technologies. Aspirations have changed for gCC -heads of the position of this connected ECOSY, and there are an increasing and to mention, and to mention, and to mention it, and to mention, and to mention it, and to mention it, and to mention it, and to the Most Mate, and told. Custom that customers find value if service partners work together with their GCCs.

Although core functions such as product design and engineering can be within the GCC, they still rely on IT service providers for flexible capacity, access to emerging technology and the speed needed to implement specific projects.

Mohit Sood, regional managing director at ZS, a global management advice and technology company, explained that a common and effective model for this type of partnership is the Build-Operate transfer (BOT) approach. Because starting over it is not advisable for most GCCs – the wheel is not necessary to reinvent the wheel when service providers have already navigated that path. A BOT model creates a win-win scenario-the service provider to build and implement the possibility of initially building and execution and it is then transferred to the GCC to possess and scale.

Given the rapid growth and growing scope of GCCs, there is a considerable chance. Service providers can drive multiple waves of this model – setting one options or service line, transfer and then continuing to build the next one.

This COllaboratie is driven by three main factors access to talent on a scale, especially in digital and domain-specific skills, the need to quickly innovate and create mutual value. Rohan Lobo, partner, Deloitte India, noted that more than 60% of GCC’s have set up innovation hubs to create IT partners, often with the help of hybrid “POD” models that combine speed with strategic control.

On the other hand, these partnerships enable IT service companies to build critical opportunities and work on advanced challenges between sectors.

“There was always a perception that GCCs and IT service companies exist side by side, but the relationship now is now fundamentally shifting to partnership and co-creation. Companies are increasingly seeing GCCs as strategic employees as strategic employees, especially around joint IP development and digital innovation. Mutuals are probably creating, in place, from place competforms. Integrated teams and shared digital laboratories, which mark a new era of collaboration, “said Lobo.

The cooperation between IT companies and GCCs encourages the shift to more innovation-guided growth. By working together on R&D and IP creation, India comes up as a global digital hub. These partnerships also help Indian IT companies enter new industries. More worldwide product mandates and technical leaders from the Indian Origin are probably as investments in talent and digital infrastructure continue, he shared.
