Ocala, Florida, is the center of an alleged racist incident. Ada Anderson, an 81-year-old white woman, is now confronted with three counts of the battery after they have reportedly used racial licks and beer sprays pretty on two black children and their mother, April Morant.
According to Wesh-2 NewsMorant, the mother who was also attacked via Pepper Spray by Anderson, Moved to the neighborhood In November 2025, and accusations on social media that her neighbor was hostile to her since the first day that she and her children moved to Marion County.
Morant said the outlet that the incident by Anderson started something small in the week of 30 May: bubbles.
“Bubbles. Literally. The bubbles have placed her in a completely different arena, which is also the case with her mind,” said Morant Wesh-2Before she kept telling the outlet that she heard Anderson screaming a racial smear before she leaned over the fence with an object in her hand.
“What went through my mind is that I thought she had a gun. So I literally jumped a bit, it was shocked by me, because when she was to the fence, she was so over the fence like that, and I didn’t know what was in her hand, because I looked at her very quickly, and then she sprayed it, Morant recalled.
Morant also claimed that she believed that her neighbor, with whom she has had problems for months, makes her living situation untenable and created a fundraising to accelerate her departure from the neighborhood.
Although Anderson was accused of battery, Morant disappointed that her neighbor did not get a hate crime, giving what she described her neighbor and told her children. Anderson placed bail and was released and did not respond to Wesh-2’s attempts to contact her from 3 June.
“Just battery, but nothing on the children or maybe a hate crime because you said all this stuff while you sprayed this stuff. For you to do the bear spray, as if I have the feeling that I don’t know what you have in that house. I don’t know. I don’t want to be with her,” explained Morant.
Morant also has launched a fundraising campaign on GofundmeAnd has set a goal of $ 15,000 for fundraising and also detailed that the police had not taken her several reports from her neighbor seriously until her children were attacked.
Morant is looking for money to help her pay different costs due to relocation, such as a deposit, a moving truck and the rent of the first and last month. At the time of writing, she picked up $ 1,655 for that purpose.
“Since the first day, our neighbor has focused on us on non-stop racial intimidation, screaming from her porch, told us that we do not hear in the neighborhood and poison the air with her hatred. I called the police earlier, but they have not acted until this cannot be arrested. Situation to escalate even further.
