In a strict message to his party colleagues, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of responsibility and discipline, and laid the responsibility to win the local body elections on the Ministers district.
Sources said that the chief minister was extremely unhappy with the indiscipline in the party and the protests in Gandhi Bhavan for ministerial berths and other party stations through different organizations with the tacit support of some leaders.
The Chief Minister expressed the strong views at the Meeting of the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) held by Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) in Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad on Tuesday (24 June 2025).
Mr Reddy apparently reminded the ministers and senior colleagues in the party of their responsibilities. The responsibility was moved to the responsible ministers of the districts involved, because they have provided money and it is their responsibility to see that they are being spent well and quickly.
The Minister President was apparently crucial about the delay in filling in nominated posts, including positions in the market and temple committees. The framework should not be disappointed, he said, in which the senior leaders were asked, so that they postponed these agreements that would keep the majority Cadre happy and penetrate them with enthusiasm.
Mr Reddy was also dissatisfied with the recent Dharna’s organized by some aspirants of the congress that demanded ministerial positions. “There is nothing wrong with the pursuit of posts, but keeping protests for them is indiscipline and it is contagious,” he said it makes it clear that indiscipline will not be tolerated.
Jubilee hills interim election
Mr Reddy also took a serious exception that some aspirants made an open claim and declared themselves as candidates for the Jubilee Hills interim election. The party will decide on the candidate, he said and warned the aspirants not to become public with their opinion.
In search of accountability within the party, Mr Reddy ordered the PCC to prepare two lists of members of the Executive Committee: one of those who have actively worked and one of those who are inactive.
“Hard workers will be promoted while others will be ignored. There is nothing to fear.” Only those who worked for the party during the most difficult times will be given positions. That will be the principle in the future.
Great political developments
The minister President pointed out major political developments in the coming months with topics such as definition, the Women’s Reservation Bill and local body elections. “These are big challenges and the party must be prepared at every level,” he said, adding that he is ready to go into the villages to strengthen the organization.
