Singareni Collieries, a coal company run by the State, has announced his plan to set up a 500 MW storage center in the now-detached Medipaal Opens-Mijn opens-Mijn opens the Ramgundam-1 area in the state with a £ 3,000 crore edition.
The company has asked to prepare a DPR (detailed project report) for the factory. It will be the first pumped storage center in Telangana.
“After completing the provisional studies, the company issued a letter of award to the public sector that WAPCOS Limited has undertaken, so that they have granted the responsibility to draw up a detailed project report (DPR),” SCCL chairman and director N Balaram, n Balaram, said.
He said that the deputy head minister of Telangana and Energy Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu Minister visited the Medipally OpenCast -Carter and the construction site, and responded positively to the proposal to set the power plant there.
The DPR will be prepared after an extensive study on geological, geotechnical and hydrology studies. They will also look at civil designs, production capacity aspects, mechanical and electrical designs, environmental problems and safety measures.
The DPR would also take into account the time to complete the project, production costs and the possibilities for the sale of electricity in the factory.
“A large Watertonp was formed at a depth of approximately 157 meters in the Medipaal Operende Mine, where a large volume of water is stored all year round. This water will be pumped during the day, with the help of solar energy, in another large water reservoir of a similar size of a similar size to be built on Saturday.
“The water filled during the day is sent by large pipes at night and the electricity will be generated by running the turbines that are installed in between with that hydro energy,” said it.
A 23 km long and 23 meters deep reservoir will be built on the surface for water storage. This reservoir will store 9.64 million cubic meters of water, of which 8 million cubic meters will be used for pumping.
