San Francisco-de Giants took their second walk-off victory in so many days as Matt Chapman a walk-off, two-run home run hit a 3-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves on Saturday afternoon in Oracle Park.
Chapman’s Game-winning Thuis Run gave San Francisco his eighth walk-off victory of the season, on the heels of Tyler Fitzgerald scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the 10th inning on Friday.
Wilmer Flores gave the Giants a 1-0 lead in the second half of the fourth inning with a solo-homrun that barely released the left-field wall, his 11th home run of the season. Atlanta immediately got that run back in the first half of the fifth inning when Michael Harris II sent a zinc shed from Webb to the Bullpen of Atlanta and the game to one each.
De Braves threatened to post a curve number in the sixth when they loaded the bases against Webb, but Webb limited the damage to one run when Marcell Ozuna defeated a potentially inning-ending double play. Nevertheless, Webb returned to the third base Dugout with the Giants Trailing, 2-1. That score held up to the bottom of the ninth.
Heliot Ramos hit a single with one out in the second half of the ninth inning to represent the equal point. Subsequently, Chapman supplied the game winner by erosing the gates with the left field against Pierce Johnson van de Braves.
