Rupee rises 10 Paise to close at 85.82 against US Dollar

The rupee appreciated 10 Paise to close at 85.82 (for the time being) against the US dollar that followed the weakness of the Greenback on the overseas market and a decrease in worldwide prices for crude oil.

However, according to Forex Traders, the foreign fund flows, together with uncertainties about the outcome of the current India-US trade discussions, are covered in the local unity.

In the interbancaire foreign exchange, the rupid opened at 85.97 against the US dollar and traded the range of 85.75-85.97 before setting himself at 85.82 (provisional), 10 Paise from the previous closure.

“The Reserve Bank of India is guarded (rupid) at the level of 86.00 and on Tuesday also ensured that rupee opens a little higher than 86. For tomorrow (Wednesday) we expect that rupee is in reach of 85.50-86.10 with expectations of more streams,” Anil Kumar Bhansali, Head of the Treasury.

Brent Crude, the global oil benchmark, fell by 0.43 percent to $ 68.91 per barrel in Futures -Trade.

The dollar index, which measures the strength of the Greenback with a basket of six currencies, dropped by 0.11 percent to 97.97.

In the field of domestic stock market, the Sesex was 317.45 points to settle at 82,570.91, while the Nifty achieved 113.50 points to close at 25,195.80.

India’s export remained unchanged at $ 35.14 billion in June, while the trade deficit during the month was $ 18.78 billion, the last government data showed Tuesday.

Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) sold shares worth £ 1,614.32 crore on a net basis on Monday, according to Exchange Data.
