After publishing the full assessment of the convincing realme GT7, I was quite undecided about trying the GT7T or not, which in fact offers very similar characteristics. What convinced me to try it is the price difference, this model costs 100 euros less, the disadvantage of a small – but substantial – hardware compromise.
More than a classic complete review, with this article we compare the two new Mid-Range Realme, to understand which model is most suitable for your needs. Is it worthwhile to spend a little more for the GT7, or would you prefer to save and choose the GT7T?
Overlapping design, construction and display
From an aesthetic point of view, realme GT7T is almost completely identical to the older brother. There are no differences on the front, while there is a change in the photographic form at the back. The third optician – the one with 2x zoom – is not there and is being replaced by a Circular LED flashIt helps to “fill” the empty space.
In the yellow color with us, the plastic backs have a rough processing that – in the distant – remembers the texture of the skin. The lateral black lines help give the smartphone character, with an almost “racing” look.
The other aesthetic characteristics remain unchanged: flat screen with symmetrical and thin frames, flat side frame with colorful on / off button and photographic module that stops from the body at two levels. There is also the IP69 certification For water resistance and dust
The structural quality is excellent, with well -groomed finishes and solid and ground mounting. GT7T also mounts a subtle low graphene under the body Behind, to guarantee a more uniform heat distribution and – therefore – better dissipation.
The display does not change, Realme GT7T mounts the same Amoled And 6.78 GT7 inches, with refresh rate A 120HZ and resolution 2780x1264px (450ppi). With his 6,500 NIT peak brightness e 2,600Hz Touch steek test, it is a screen of excellent quality, one of the best panels that are available on this price range (around € 500).
This Amoled screen is perfect for offering an excellent user experience in gaming, but it also gives good satisfaction in the display of multimedia content. Clearly, it is not a top of the reach, super dissolved and perfectly calibrated, but the chromatic reproduction is excellent and compatibility with the content is not missing Dolby Vision one HDR10+. A pity for the quality of the audio: the speaker works in stereo with the headlight capsule, but the sound lacks corposal and the medium -sized frequencies are not very present.
The ultrasonic fingerprint reader, installed under the screen. During this week of intense use I have never had to position the finger a second time, the sensor is always reactive and reliable with the release of the smartphone.
Technical data sheet, software and performance
The GT7T inherits the most technical characteristics of his brother GT7, with the exception of the SOC and photographic equipment. Here we find the MediaTek Dimensity 8400-MAXA less advanced and powerful mid -range chip than 9400E.
The photographic sector represents a substantial change compared to the GT7. The 50MP main sensor is lower than the 8MP Ultra-Granandular Ultra-Grandangular, the 2x is missing.

This dimensity 8400 -Max broke an 8 cup of cortex -a725: 1 core at 3.25 GHz, 3 core at 3.0 GHz, 4 core at 2.1 GHz. This configuration promises – on paper – clearly lower performance compared to the new 9400E of GT7.
Despite the approval of a less powerful chip, Realme GT7T does not offer a considerably different user experience than GT7. On balance, the system runs smoothly and reactive and there are no clear differences. Probably me 12 GB RAM and the Momary UFS 4.0 They manage to hide the lower performance of the SOC.
Report The absence of support for e-SIMThat instead there is on the GT7 and for many users it can be the decisive defect to prefer the most expensive model.
From a software point of view, GT7T and GT7 are completely superable. The interface Realme onion 6 It is based on Android 15 And it is full of functions with artificial intelligence.
Very comfortable it Smart runWith which you can share fast images, texts, contacts and more by dragging the element on the edge of the screen. The system feels and suggests the most relevant apps for sharing the selected element.
Very handy theYou have a plannerWho analyzes the content in the screen and quickly adds an event to the agenda. The function is activated with a double tap at the back of the smartphone and works pretty well. The functions for photographic operation cannot be missed, with the magic rubber For removed objects and unwanted people.
In principle AOver the years this user interface has improved a lot and so far I have placed it in the top 3 of the interfaces that I use with more pleasure.
Photos and videos: The real difference
Technical maps in hand, GT7T has a less complete and lower quality photographic sector than the GT7. We lose the 2x perspective, there are the 8MP Ultra-Grandans and the 1x has a different sensor.
We find the sensor on board the 7T Sony IMX896Against the Sony IMX906 of the GT7. With the same megapixel (50) and focal opening (f/1.8), the quality of the images recorded with the 7T is lower. During the day the difference is less clear, while in little light it is seen how the sensor of new generation of 7 has an extra gear in terms of exposure and sharpness.
All in all, the quality is not bad, but still lower than the GT7, which certainly offers more convincing versions. Transfer to the Ultra-Grandans: There are few the 8MP And the quality is clearly worse than the 1x. As already mentioned in the review of the GT7, it is also advisable for this 7T to trust the main camera only, only used ultra-wide if it is essential to have a wider frame, while sacrificing image quality.
Battery, charging and reception
Also on Realme GT7T there is a huge battery 7,000 mAhwho convinces from any point of view. With silicon carbon technology you can install batteries with a high capacity, without weighing the thickness and weight of the device.
The charging takes place to 120WA value that of 0 to 50% in just 14/16 minutes And 100% in just 40/45 minutes. Once charged, the estimated autonomy is 2 days of intense use, which will be reduced to one and a half days when we use the smartphone to play demanding titles and make many videos in 4K.
What surprised me is the standby consumption. As soon as I was delivered, I configured this GT7T and kept it on the desk for about 4 days, because before I had other reviews to close. He stayed up, connected to Wi-Fi and all active apps that continued to send reports about reports. Well, after 4 days I resumed to start the test and I found it with 88% of the remaining battery. In short, after 4 days in position -orer he had only used 12% or only 3% per day.
Speaking of the reception, I am forced to repeat what was said in the assessment of the GT7. The antenna system is the same and during my test days I had no signal problems. GT7T does indeed take place in places where a lot of top of the range normally hesitates.
Prices and conclusions
With two devices that are so similar, the price is the real discriminant. Realme GT7T Costa 499 € On Amazon, 100 euros less than the older brother GT7, which he established a month after the launch at € 599. In both cases I refer to the variant with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal space.
This GT7T is logical for those who do not use e-SIM and for unhealthy users in the field and videos. On the other hand, if you need an electronic SIM and you are interested in making quality content with your smartphone, GT7 is the perfect choice and does justice to the extra € 100 that is needed to buy it.
