Manila, Philippines – Chris Ross is perhaps one of the lovable figures of the PBA, but the beer veteran of San Miguel knows that there is no room for kindness with a championship on the line.
In the Bissel’s Game 7 victory at Barangay Ginebra in the semi -final, Ross said that he put inspiration from La Tenorio’s Game 6 Heroics – but made it clear that he is all things on his way to the final.

“For me, when I play someone on the field, it’s all things. I have friendships or whatever on the side,” said Ross during the PBA press for the PBA final in Passig on Friday.
“Especially now when they are [also] Gunning for a championship, there is no time to be friendly with someone. “
Ross brought that take-no-prisoners mentality last Wednesday evening when he brought San Miguel back to the final after a 100-93 victory over Barangay Ginebra in Araneta Coliseum.

The dual final MVP has channeled ‘Playoff Ross’, ending with 19 points, seven assists, four steals and three rebounds.
The 40-year-old floor-general knows that he has to dig deep again in the best-of-seven-title series-this time opposite a familiar face in former teammate Simon Enciso.
Enciso, which was waived by San Miguel and later before the conference was picked up by TNT, is also reflected in the final phase, only now on the other side of the court.
“We just go outside and compete, guard and play who is standing in front of us. I don’t really see it while I play a friend,” said Ross.
“I see it while I play an opponent. We both have the same for the same. I am sure they will bring their best foot forward and we will do the same to try to win the championship.”
Ross and De Bissen compete against Enciso and TNT in Game 1 of the Finals this Sunday in the Big Dome in Araneta, Cubao.
