Do you prefer to pay online but irritated by the time that digital transactions are used? There is good news for you. From Monday, UPI payments have become considerably faster, with transactions, balance controls and reversations that are now processed in just 10 to 15 seconds, compared to the earlier waiting period of up to 30 seconds.The time to validate the address of a beneficiary in an UPI transaction is now closed to just 10 seconds from the previous 15.This sharp reduction in response times in Key UPI services follows a guideline from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). With effect since 16 June, this step has been part of the newest push of NPCI to improve the user experience on the most used digital payment platform in the country.In another change, users can now check their bank balance via UPI apps up to 50 times a day. So far there was no fixed limit for the number of balance investigations.The new CAP is designed to improve system efficiency and to reduce unnecessary load on the network, said an expert, quoted by PTI.Upi, shortly before Unified Payments Interface, has seen explosive growth. In May alone, the Platform processed 1,868 Crore transactions, a jump of 33% of a year ago. The exchanged of the total value was RS 25.14 Lakh Crore, an increase of 23%.To stimulate the trust of the customer and to reduce the risks, NPCI UPI apps has instructed only to display the name of the actual beneficiary during transactions.In addition, Apps must disable each function with which users can edit the ‘beneficiary name’ in the interface.All stakeholders in the UPI ecosystem must comply with these standards before 30 June.
