Canoe pillars are supposed to be one of the three NPFL clubs that push to hijack coach Stanley Eguma’s signing of the people of the people, Enyimba, Complete sports.com Can only report.
Completesports.com understands that Plateau United and Bendel Insurance are the other two clubs that have taken the head over heels for the coaching references of the 55-year-old former Sharks and Dolphins (now Rivers United) Gaffer, hence their decision to acquire its services for the 2025/2026 season.
Eguma joined Enyimba halfway through the 2024/2025 season and imposed the double African champions in the Nigerian top flight, ending in their third in their CAF Confederation Cup Group phase.

Completesports.com cheques reveal that although the nine times NPFL title winners have opened new contract discussions with Eguma, the negotiations are supposed to claim at the pace of a snail-one window for clubs, Plateau United and Kano-Pilaren to dive into.
“Because Enyimba held conversations with Eguma for the first time during a possible two -year contract, they do not seem to have followed with urgency,” said a source that is familiar with the negotiations on complete ports.com.
“The conversations were meant to continue last Wednesday, but they were postponed and again planned for Sunday – which did not happen. Now they have planned it for tomorrow (Wednesday, June 25).”
Efforts of Completeports.com to reach the sports director of Enyimba, IFEANYI EKWUEME, turned out not to be successful despite repeated calls to his mobile phone, including SMS messages.
Similarly, Stanley Eguma could not be achieved when Completeports.com was looking for a confirmation or otherwise with regard to the interest of canoe -pillars, Bendel Insurance and Plateau United in its services.

The coaching of Kano Pillars was empty after the departure of Usman Abdallah at the end of last season.
Abdallah, a former Enyimba coach, underwent scorching moments during his term of office at Kano Pillars, including a six-week suspension.
Gaffer from Plateau United, MBWAS MANGUT, received an ultimatum at a certain point last season and closely avoided the bag.
Head coach of Bendel Insurance, Monday Oudie, stopped his role halfway through the season, with coach Greg Ikhenoba who supervised Benin Arsenal for the rest of the campaign.
