A mother and grandmother in California are in custody after a teenager entered a supermarket, bound and naked.
Employees in the costs Less supermarket in Ceres, about 95 miles from San Francisco, were stunned when a 15-year-old child ran around 1:39 pm on Thursday. The child, who is autistic, was bound by the wrists, said Ceres’ police. Message managers described the child as a non -verbal and said he did not communicate.
Multiple visible injuries suggested that the child might also have been bound by the ankles. Aunts -resistant staff transported the teenager to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The teenager’s mother, Leandra Renteria, 36, came to the supermarket in search of her son. That is how the police met her. Through the research process, the authorities discovered that she had another autistic child, a 12-year-old girl who lived in the family’s home. The police carried out a welfare check and found the girl in the house safe.
However, the house was in poor condition, said civil servants and noted that they had no history of responding to the address.
Renteria, Gary Wilson, 58 and Lenore Wilson, 54, were arrested for child abuse and neglect and booked in the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center. It is not clear what the Wilsons’ connection is for the case. Lenore Wilson is the mother of Renteria and Gary Wilson is her husband, The Modesto Bee reported.
A provincial prisoner search assignment did not yield any results for the suspects. The independent has emailed the Sheriff office for additional information.
In the meantime, both children have been placed in child protection services.
Director Del Ambris of the supermarket told the outlet that he was proud of how his employees were the situation.
“Instead of considering what happened to this child, let’s see what will happen to this child,” he said. “The bad part of his life is hopefully changing now.”
