Microsoft Bing today announced that it was the introduction of the Bing Video Creator To the app, which uses the Sora model from OpenAi to have users generate videos of text prompts.
OpenAI, which has a long -term partnership with Microsoft, has only locked access to Sora’s video money for paying customers. The integration in Microsoft Bing represents the first time that it will be available for free.
With the launch, Bing Video Creator is not yet available on Desktop, and videos can take hours to generate, even when using the “fast” mode, which should only take a few minutes.
All users, as long as they are registered with a Microsoft account, can use the Bing app to make ten video clips at no cost. Then users have to pay 100 Microsoft Rewards Points per video. These points are awarded to search with bing or make purchases in the Microsoft Store – for example, 5 points are awarded for each PC search with Bing, with a cap on 150 points per day.
Users can stand in line at a maximum of three five-second video stories at the same time now there is no way to change the length of the video. So far, videos can only be generated in a vertical 9:16 Image ratio, so that users may be able to share their AI creations on TIKTOK or Instagram. But soon horizontal 9:16 uploads will also be available.
