There is an urgent manhunt going on in Arkansas after a crashed former police chief, who was time for murder and rape, escaped from prison.

The Arkansas Department of Corrections said that Grant Hardin, 56, has escaped from the North Central Unit on Sunday afternoon in Calico Rock, AR.

“Anyone with information about Prisoner Hardin’s place of residence must immediately contact the local law enforcement,” the authorities said in a post on X.

Civil servants said Hardin has been in the North Central Unit since 2017 and is a 30 -year prison sentence for murder in the first degree, As well as an extra sense of rape.

The prison added that Hardin was the former police chief for the city of Gateway.

Hardin pleaded guilty of the murder of James Appleton 2017, 59, a city water employee who was found in his face in his work car, KNWA reported.

Authorities confirmed that Hardin’s DNA corresponded to the DNA that was linked to the suspect of rape. Harrison was ambushed in an ambush while preparing a lesson plan for the week. The case had been cold for almost two decades.

Hardin pleaded guilty in 2019.

“In my opinion and in my personal experience, Grant Hardin is one of the most dangerous people I have ever seen for the reason that he does not appear that way at the first instance,” Smith said earlier. “He is a man who is capable of an apparently random, horrible murder and any horrible rape.”
