The Karnataka police arrested a 54-year-old man in connection with a Kalaburagi robbery case. The accused, identified as Shiva Prasad, also known as Mantri Shankar, is originally from Secunderabad in Telangana, but lived in Maharashtra Latur and was trapped from Gulbarga. He was taken into custody after he was familiar with his involvement in a theft in Ashok Nagar area of Gulbarga.
During the investigation, PRASAD revealed that he hid 412 g of stolen gold ornaments, rated on RS 30 Lakh, in the house of a family member in the Aiyarwadi area of the city. The gold was successfully found by the police.
Prasad has a criminal history of 40 years, with more than 260 things that are registered against him in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. His criminal journey began at the age of 14. According to the police, he also revealed during the interrogation that he was involved in 10 robbery issues in the Kalaburagi district.

According to DCP Bala Swamy in East Zone, the gang had executed the robbery at an ATM at the SBI Bank in Bidar using a brutal strategy. They threw Chile Powder on bank staff and shot six rounds, killed one employee, Giri Venkatesh, and injured another, Shiva Kashinath. The gang escaped with cash intended for ATM fillings.
