Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the IT Twin Towers of the Lulu Group on Saturday in SmartCity, Kakkanad, near Kochi.
The new state-of-the-art complex, developed in an investment of £ 1500 crore, is ready to place Kerala prominently on the global technology and artificial intelligence map. One of the highest and largest IT complexes in South India, the project strengthens Kerala’s dedication to become a digital empowered and knowledge-driven economy.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said that “Kerala turns into a digitally driven economy, and historical infrastructure projects such as the Lulu It Twin Towers are of vital importance in attracting worldwide technical investments and generating employment for youth.
He also added that Lulu Group plans are planning further investments in the state, including an investment of £ 500-crore for IT towers in Infopark phase 2 ..
Yusuffali Ma, chairman of Lulu Group, said that the Twin Towers symbolize the company’s vision to make Kerala a competitive hub for global technological players. This development is part of our greater dedication to support Kerala’s growth in the IT and service sector. This will also encourage re-migration by creating high-quality vacancies for the youth in Kerala.
Vd Satheesan, leader of the opposition, said that the Twin Towers are as architectural and technological miracles that reflect the growing potential of Kerala in the global IT landscape. Initiatives such as these not only create employment, but also inspire confidence in Kerala as a hub for high-end innovation and encourage the return of skilled professionals to their roots.
“This IT infrastructure of world class will act as a catalyst for the digital economy of Kerala and support the return of competent professionals to the state,” added Rajeev Chandrasekhar, president of the state of BJP.
Strategically located in the SmartCity Kochi Sez, the Twin Towers are 152 meters long and each have 30 floors. Stretch in 12.74 hectares, the development offers a total built-up area of 3.5 million square meters, including 2.5 million m² in leasable space, and is designed for more than 30,000 IT professionals. The project corresponds to Kerala’s greater vision to come forward as a New-Age Innovation Hub for the digital economy.
