Chelsea is ready to continue their summer spending with the signing of Jamie Gittens, after a £ 55 million deal with Borussia Dortmund, who released a statement
Chelsea has reached a full agreement with Borussia Dortmund to sign Jamie Gittens, has confirmed a statement. Gittens, 20, will join the blues with a seven -year contract after the two clubs have completed a deal in the US.
Negotiations were described as ‘challenging’ by Dortmund -sports director Sebastian Kehl and they note that the details of the Englishman’s contract with Chelsea still have to be completed. Reports claim that the deal is worth £ 55 million after the blues have rejected their £ 42 million last month by the Bundesliga Giants, despite the fact that Gittens have already agreed personal conditions.
Both teams are currently competing at the Club World Cup that has reached the quarterfinals. It is not confirmed whether Gittens can play for Chelsea, while Dortmund is involved in the tournament.
