Inhair turns ‘Computing Freedom’ into a basic right for modern digital nomad, says CEO Kurt Huang

In a world where work is increasingly becoming mobile, digital and privacy-conscious, inhair is redefining how we deal with technology through the augmented reality lens. Since its foundation, Inhair has launched two generations of AR -hardware that have received both critical and commercial success on platforms such as JD.com and Tmall. Under Kurt, the company not only supplies tight and powerful AR devices, but also pushes the limits of how compelling hardware can enable people to work freely and safer.

With one of the founders pulled from top internet and technology companies, and with deep expertise in AR software, hardware and product development, Inhair positions itself as a leader in the worldwide race to a more connected, productive future.

Petrol Bibhu Pattnaik spoke with HuangHe shared his vision of the future of AR in the workplace, which distinguishes in the air in the growing market for wearables and how the company re -defines the next generation of computer use. Here is an excerpt from the interaction.

What inspired the creation of inhair, and how did your experience in the past in AI and system architecture the basis?

We have founded in theians to have deep insight into the evolution of technology and user needs. During my graduated studies in computer science at Tsinghua University, I focused on distributed systems and heterogeneous computer architecture. I also had Stints at Broadcom and Intel, where I led the development of several generations of chip platforms, supervised hardware, software and R&D at system level. In 2016, when AR technology started ripening, I saw the enormous potential for practical applications of this technology. Then I only started concentrating on the AR industry.

As the XR market (Extended Reality) later arose and fell into the fall of prioritizing extreme displays above interaction, I saw how devices strive more and more impressive display specifications at the expense of comfort and portability, or they stepped on AI functions while seamlessly use contextual use. This follows us to reconsider the entire technological stack with the help of a full-stack mindset. We have built our own distributed display engine and spatial consciousness algorithms for leading real-time display. By deeply integrating heterogeneous computing (cooperation between telephone, PC and Cloud) with natural interaction protocols (can, touch and voice), we finally made the world’s first spatial native operating system-inhair OS.

The essence of Inhair is to have technology evolved from “used” to “forgot”.

What distinguishes Inhair’s space computer in a rapidly evolving AR landscape of other solutions on the market?

We are at a turning point in the AR industry and go from flashy technical demonstrations to deeply integrated Real-World scenarios. Inhair is different in three important ways: a focus on different scenarios, system recovery and ecosystem increase.

Early AR glasses often relied on Enterprise (B2B) customers to survive. After 2022, AR glasses saw success in scenarios for consumer tertainment and video view. But by 2024-2025 the improvements in differentiation and user experience in entertainment had reached a plateau. We believe that the next limit of AR mobile productivity, which offers a lightweight, offers a powerful solution for work on the road, not just entertainment.

Many competing AR devices have app -ecosystems that do not work on platforms, which prohibits data transfer. We have tackled this with what we call a spatial native architecture to reconstruct the technical pile. We have accepted a modular design. The glasses itself weighs only 77 grams, making them comfortable for the entire day wear. They have a continuously adjustable electrochrome tint (privacy mode) that users love. The womb unit (the “POD”) is roughly the size of a computer mouse, but has extremely powerful performance.

We have developed our own Inair operating system, which is compatible with Android, iOS, Windows and Mac ecosystems. Data flow seamlessly over devices. We also include a built-in AI agent who proactively predicts the needs of users and understands context to offer intelligent answers and help.

The entire user interface is in 3D. Users interact naturally with the help of can, touch (through our touchboard accessory) and speech. This depth in interaction makes the experience much more intuitive than traditional 2D screens.

What were some of the most important technological or design challenges that you were confronted with during the development of Inhair, and how did your team conquer them?

Developing InAirs meant tackling three apparently conflicting challenges: making the device extremely light but extremely powerful; make interaction very natural yet very accurate; And keep the technology advanced butbloadly accessible.

The demand for lightweight design is of the utmost importance because users seem to notice every gram. However, high-performance computing naturally brings high power consumption, heat and weight. We had to innovate over the entire spectrum, from materials to chip design. For example, from hundreds of materials we have selected a magnesium aluminum alloy with which we can shave 1.5 grams of weight-an important performance on this scale. We have also used a modular (split) design, which separates the display glasses from the calculation pod, so that the glasses can remain light and comfortable.

Traditional AR devices rely on speech assignments or handheld controllers, priceless for rapid input -especially in a working environment. We realized that a keyboard is essential for productivity use. That is why we have designed an adapted accessory with the name The Inhair Touchboard. It combines a full-size keyboard with spatial interaction options. This ensures immediate, continuous productivity with a natural feeling.

One of the striking functions of Inair is the seamless integration with Android apps and PC systems -How important was this interoperability in your product vision?

Interoperability is the soul of our product. Our life is already filled with smartphones, laptops, tablets and other technical devices. Nobody wants to add AR glasses that just create more hassle. The real value comes from seamless integration.

For example, imagine that you are on a business trip and receive a message from your boss on your phone. With our glasses you can immediately stream your office computer, open the required document and send the file – all without messing around between devices. Like this Effortless, seamless connectivity Is exactly what users need. That is why we have made a top priority from the first day to split barriers between the Android, iOS, Windows and Mac ecosystems.

The indigenous external streaming technology from Inair promises a new type of productivity – can you develop how this improves the user experience?

Our external streaming technology is essentially one “Spatial decoupling” From computing power with which you can tap the most suitable hardware everywhere. Here is an example: you can leave your laptop in the office or at home and travel with only the inhair glasses and the mouse format compute pod. With the help of our patented Inhaar OS, the glasses can connect wirelessly to your laptop thousands of kilometers away, so that your desktop is brought to you in the AR space. At the same time, the local compute pod processes lighter tasks such as video conferences. If you combine a Bluetooth keyboard, you have complete input settings, often with a more seamless experience than if you only use the laptop.

What is really revolutionary is the way in which this changes the ownership of computing power. In the future you can leave your top GPU at home and write code on a beach with our glasses, with heavy lifting in the cloud. Inhair turns “Calculate freedom” In a basic right for modern digital nomade.

How did user feedback of product affect iterations and what insights have your first assumptions surprised or challenged?

Users are increasingly hungry for compelling 3D experiences. From films to apps, flat 2D content, she simply doesn’t satisfy them anymore. They want to use adult AR -hardware (such as glasses) to consume and communicate 3D content. Spatial videos that are recorded on an iPhone can now be viewed on Inhair, and those old 2D photos that are in your photo album can be converted into 3D views with a single click.

Users are not happy with only “it works”. They expect “Immerking Switching” Between tasks and devices. This means that we have to constantly improve the latency and response.

Today’s large AI models are powerful, but they are often not user-friendly. Many AI apps (such as Deepseek or Chatgpt) just present a simple text box, and different apps each have their own AI assistant, which leads to Siled experiences. Inair’s approach is to bake AI options in the system layer, so that you get a uniform, intuitive experience, regardless of the software you use.

As spatial computer use, how do you see inairing to or again define this new computer paradigm?

Our mission is to bring AI+AR technology -paradigm shift to mobile productivity. And expect to create a future in which work is no longer limited by screens or locations, which enables everyone to work together effortlessly in a seamless mix of the physical and digital worlds.

With the global expansion on the horizon, on which markets are you the most focused?

The North -American and European markets form the core of our global strategy. This decision is based on its own technological layout, scenario adjustment capacity and long-term insights in the long term.

Users in North America and Europe are very open to advanced technologies, especially the question of the combination of “Lightweight, portable computer use” And “High performance.” People in these regions have strong needs of working from home and flexible work setups, and they strive for a liberated, location-independent way of working. This vision adapts closely with the philosophy of Inair.
