Sonam Yadav, from the Firozabad of Uttar Pradesh, was part of the World Cup-winning Indian Under-19-Team 2023. The Left-Arm-Orthodox Bowler, born on July 18, 2007, has an inspiring and extraordinary story behind its success. At the age of 12 she played for the Uttar Pradesh Under-19 team and the following year for the Senior Up-Side. At the age of 15 she has a World Cup under the 19 World Cup-Winning Medal around her neck. Recently she was also the youngest player who ever signed a deal with the Mumbai Indians for the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Sonam Yadav’s father, Mukesh Yadav, works in a glass factory, and she is the youngest among five sisters and a brother who grows up in a small room. Her brother, Aman Yadav, worked in double services at a glass company to help his sister’s training. Not much knowing that it was her brother who saw her cricket language and registered her in a local academy.
