Harry Wilson has for 12 years a different piece of history against Belgium against Belgium to become the youngest player of Wales ever in Brussels.
Wales will be confronted this week with a World Cup qualifying double header with Friday’s home game against Liechtenstein prior to their discouraging group J-trip to Belgium three days later.
The dragons have not won in eight previous visits to Belgium – five losses and three signs – in a fixture that extends completely back to 1949.
“The Liechtenstein match is the first and international football has shown many times over the years that there are no easy matches,” said Wilson, who ended the season in Fine form in Fulham after repairing a broken foot and a dismissal of 10 weeks.
“Although people on paper will think that we have to win that game comfortably, we still have to go outside and perform.
“For us to look at Belgium before they do that game, would be stupid, but six points in this camp is definitely the goal.”
Wilson defeated Gareth Bale’s record to be the youngest player of Wales ever at the age of 16 and 207 days against Belgium in October 2013.
“It was by far the largest stadium I have ever played in,” said Wilson, who will win his 61st cap to Liechtenstein in Cardiff.
“That noticed me immediately for the competition.”
“(Eden) Hazard and (Kevin) De Bruyne played for them and for a young boy to think there:” I could share the field with them “was great.

“When (Wales manager Chris) Coleman turned around and gave me the nod that I was going, it was a mixture of nerves and excitement.
“I can’t really remember too much about standing on the field, but I came down 1-0 and we pulled 1-1, so I take a little credit for that.”
Wales defeated Belgium famous with 3-1 in the quarterfinals on Euro 2016 and the two countries have regularly been opponents in the last ten years.
So much so that De Bruyne once labeled Wales ‘boring’ and claimed: “I think half of my international career has been against Wales.”
Recent matches have been close affairs, both of the countries recording two wins and four draw since the debut game of Wilson.
“We have shown over the years that we are a good team,” said Wilson, who scored against Belgium during a world cup qualification in 2021.
“But to have a record as good as the one against a nation that has had a golden era over the past 10 to 15 years is an amazing achievement.”
Wales resumes their World Cup qualifying campaign that picked up four points in March of a 3-1 home victory at Kazakhstan and a 1-1 draw in North Macedonia.
