Hand -jumpthat offers virtual mental health for young people and their families, announced that it scored $ 12 million in Serie A financing,

Cobalt Ventures led the round, with the participation of Arkitekt Ventures, Hyde Park Angels (HPA), NVP Capital, NextView Ventures, Cornucopian Capital, Vamosventures and 25Madison. Two public health plans also came to De Ronde.

Dipa Mehta from Valeo Ventures and Rob Go from NextView Ventures came to the company’s board of directors.

What it does

The company offers pediatric virtual mental health care for young people and their families, including access to therapists with a focus on skills -based cognitive behavioral therapy.

The range of Handspring includes access to fully used, trained therapists, skill buildings suitable for the age, involvement of parents, cooperation and active participation, a strength -based perspective and progress and feedback.

“Although we have taken steps to expand access to care, we have allowed quality standards to erode at the same time. Patients earn more than just an available therapist-based treatment, real therapeutic relationships and measurable progress in the direction of recovery,” said Sahil Choudhry, CEO, in a statement.

“This financing is so important because it helps us to continue to build a system that really gives welfare in the long term of every child and family that we serve.”

Market Snapshot

In 2022, Handpring, also known as Handpring Health, closed, a $ 6.2 million seed round led by Newark Venture Partners and NextView Ventures.

A large part of American children and adolescents receive outpatient mental health care by video books, published in a study in The American Journal of Psychiatry.

There was a remarkable expansion of virtual on telehealth-based mental health care during the COVID-19 Pandemie, and the study states that this is probably a permanent characteristic of the delivery of outpatient care for children and adolescents.

Another organization that offers pediatric mental health care is a virtual care company Teladoc, which announced a partnership last year with pediatric virtual behavioral health company Brightline to expand the mental health care for children, adolescents and their families via the Teladoc platform.

Brightline offers children and their families virtual behavioral health services and collaborates with employers and large insurers to offer coaching and therapy services.

Through the partnership, members under the age of 18 and their care providers have access to the Mental Health Care of Brightline for a wide range of circumstances via the Teladoc platform.
