In an attempt to improve the efficiency of Tolplein and to prepare for upcoming digital tolupgrades, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a stricter policy for black list of ‘loose fastags’ – that are not applied to vehicle windows. The Nhai said that the move is crucial to guarantee the authenticity of fastags and the integrity of the electronic toll collection (etc.) system, especially for the rollout of annual passes and multi -lane free electricity (MLFF) toll, PTI reported.“To guarantee smooth toll work and to strengthen the report of ‘loose fastags’, Nhai has further streamlined his policy for collecting toll collection and concession holders to immediately report and put such tags on the black list, also often called tag-in-hand,” the agency said in a statement. It noted that some highway users deliberately love fast-phase-freeing, which leads to operational problems, including false returns, abuse of closed-running systems, congestion and delays for in accordance with users. To make corrective measures possible, Nhai has given a special e -mail -ID for reporting such violations. “Based on the reports received, Nhai will take immediate action to initiate the blacklist or hotlisting of the reported fastags,” said it.The measure is part of Nhai’s broader efforts to guarantee system reliability and user -friendliness on national motorways.
