Dillian Whyte is “irritated” by Deontay Wilder and still wants to arrange their bitter feud with a knockout victory.
Whyte was repeatedly refused a WBC world title fight against Wilder, even though it was the WBC’s no 1 -year -old for more than 1000 days.
The heavyweight rivals have traded insults for years and Whyte likes to continue to exchange with Wilder, who returned last Friday with a seventh round of Tyrrell Anthony Herndon.
“He fought against someone he had to beat,” said Whyte Sky Sports.
“Deontay Wilder seems to be a bit away with the fairies in recent years. Sometimes you can earn a lot of money, your way of thinking can change, your lifestyle can change. It happened to me.
“Sometimes you can get away with the fairies, but he started winning again and there are many big fights, so I don’t know what else to say.
“He is still someone I want to fight. Still someone I believe I can beat. I can eliminate him while Joseph Parker, another man, showed him, also saved him. Zhilei Zhang too.
“I don’t like Deontay Wilder. I don’t want to continue and annoy myself at this stage of life. I don’t enjoy annoying myself. I don’t like to get irritated by things that will annoy me.
“I’m not going to say things and concern an online battle with him about anything.
“If he has something to say, say it to my face and we can deal with it there and then. I am more about the physical things than the verbal things.”
Whyte is preparing for his next fight against colleague Brit Moses Itauma in Saudi Arabia on August 16.
Itauma has been advertised as a future world champion after 10 knockout victories in his unbeaten 12-fighter record, but Whyte believes that his own attributes are being overlooked.
