In an attempt to curb pollution in the national capital, the government of Delhi is planning to use high-tech machines to enter road cleaning. A demonstration of these high-tech machines, including super loser equipment for removing reeds and concrete waste, was recently held to show their possibilities.

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, speaking with AAJ Tak, said that air pollution caused by dust and waste along city roads has been a serious health problem for residents. “We had made provisions to bring in new machines for road cleaning in Delhi. Smoke weapons will also be hired to tackle pollution. These machines will regularly clean the city throughout the year,” she said.

She explained that each constituency of the assembly would have at least one such machine in operation. The equipment, she said, is fully automatic and able to remove dust and large debris. It includes a built -in water system and functions for automatic waste removal. The use of updated technology is expected to significantly reduce dust pollution and speed up the efforts of the cleanliness.

“We are committed to transforming Delhi. These electrical machines will not contribute to pollution during cleaning. I assure the people of Delhi that the capital will now see better sanitary facilities and a healthier environment through the use of this latest technology,” the Chief Minister added.

Last month the government of Delhi also assessed cleaning machines presented by various companies. Officials clarified that instead of buying these machines, the government is planning to hire and pay them based on the set distance.

According to the CM, the latest electrical machines are much superior to earlier options and in accordance with the green objectives of the city by eliminating vehicle emissions from cleaning activities.
