David de Gea took out the former teammate of the Manchester United Antony after he scored a stunning goal against the goalkeeper in the Conference League.
Undoubtedly one of the worst transfers in the history of United, Antony has looked reborn since he left Old Trafford in January and at Real Betis to loan.
He continued his great form of form on Thursday evening when the Spanish side beat the Fiorentina of the Gea with 2-1 in the first legs of their semi-final of their Conference League.
Antony took the winner in the 64th minute with a spectacular volley from just outside the box that thundered in the right corner.
What made the strike even more remarkable is that the 25-year-old used his weaker right foot, something he barely did at United and that the Gea completely surprised.

“I trained with Antony 1000 times and he never scored a goal with his right foot in a training session, but now he is in confidence and proves the player he is,” the keeper said after the game.
“I am happy for him because he came to United from a difficult moment and now he shows the best of himself.”
The second leg of the semi-final will take place next Thursday in Florence, where the winner is improving at the Conference League final where they will probably be confronted with Chelsea who defeated Djurgardens 4-1 in the first leg of their draw.
Antony now has six goals and four assists in 19 performances for Betis, an impressive change after recording only four goals and two assists in his last 18 months at United.
Erik ten Hag signed the Brazil -international of his former club Ajax for a first £ 82 million, but he has not looked at a player of that value in the Premier League nowhere and will be moved this summer.
