Colleen McCain NelsonWho has been the executive editor of the Sacramento Bee for more than four years, becomes the new leader of the newsroom of the Dallas Morning News.
A bee story states: “Nelson, 51, returns to the publication where she was part of a team that won a Pulitzer prize in editorial writing in 2010.
“I have loved the Sacramento Bee every day, and I feel happy that I have worked for the past four and a half years with such a talented and innovative team that gives deep around the community we serve,” Nelson said. ‘The bee journalists are dedicated to keep powerful, delivering exclusive local journalism and our readers help their best life in Sacramento.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from this team,” she said. “It’s hard to leave the Bee Newsroom, but I return to the city that I called home for 12 years and the newsroom where I spent my forming years as a journalist.”
“Editor management Scott wideA 40-year-old veteran of the bee will take on the role of interim editor. LEBAR, 71, has been working as an editor since 1985 in many capacities with the bee and supervises all aspects of reporting, from local and national news to functions to sport to research. He has been editor -in -chief since 2013.
