Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-ut.) Is not shy when it comes to talking about corruption within politics and his thoughts about president Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk.

When asked what he would do as President on his first day at the office, the two key figures may be in mind.

Sanders as president: Sanders ran as president in the 2016 and 2020 elections and both times finished second in the Democratic party.

Although Sanders might never again run as president, he could only share his answer for the hypothetical question what he would first in position, if reported By the New York Post.

During an appearance on the podcast “Joe Rogan Experience”, host Joe Rogan Asked Sanders: “What would you have done the first day at the office?”

The question came after Rogan had referred to Sanders that he “derailed” in the 2016 elections and the party had worked against him.

After he asked how many hours he had to explain to his answer about what he would do on the first day, Sanders gave his best answer.

“Well, it’s not just the first day in the office,” said Sanders. “I would have tackled this issue of this reform of campaign financing.”

Sanders told Rogan that it would be better for elections to be financed by the government that give each candidate the same amount of money to spend.

“Is much more logical than having billionaires who finance elections, that’s what you have now.”

Sanders comments seemed to point to the hundreds of millions of dollars donated by Tesla CEO Musk to help Trump to win the 2024 presidential elections.

The Senator covers the concern about taxpayers who pay for the campaigns and said it would be better than the current alternative.

“So everything I say is that you have a corrupt campaign funding system, to both parties, that rejects the will of the American people and ultimately supports powerful special interests,” said Sanders. “And if we don’t use that problem, I am very worried about the future of American democracy.”

Did you know that?

Sanders who insist on change: Rogan asked Sanders if he would run to President again during the interview.

“I am 83 years old. I am not sure if the American people would be too enthusiastic,” Sanders replied.

Rogan did not reject the idea and added that Sanders was very “with it” and only a few years older than former President Joe Biden.

“Think about that. You could be much worse,” said Rogan.

Sanders, who does not specifically exclude a run as president, emphasized his tour “Fight Oligarchy” throughout the country who has shown support from both major political parties.

“There is a growing dissatisfaction with current politics in America, both parties and people want a new vision and people want a new vision for America.”
