A swat team found a deceased man and killed a nearby firearm hours after a sniperschot and two firefighters and injured another while they fought against a natural fire in Idaho, the authorities confirmed on Sunday.

The Sheriff’s Office of Kootenai County said the deceased man was on Canfield Mountain. A hiding place was lifted, but an active natural fire continued to exist, said the Sheriff office. Authorities are expected to provide more information at a press conference of 12.30 pm et.

The update came hours after the International Association of Fire Fighters confirmed that the two victims who were killed were firefighters.

“While responding to a fire earlier today in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, IAFF members were ambushed in a horrible act of violence.
