The overthrow of the Prime Minister of Tasmania has drawn strong reactions from all over Australia. Some call it a “fiasco”, while others say that the rest of the state has changed the “smiling stock” of the nation.
“Tasmania is always a controversial state, immature politicians, not well -informed people,” wrote an observer, while the movement without trust in Jeremy Rockliff played live on Thursday.
“We left Tasmania only 12 months ago because of the incompetent group of people running the state,” said another.
“It’s all about their friends, pocket lining and full contempt for the people.“

With Tasmanians who are now confronted with the prospect of an election that will be called up next week – despite choosing the Rockliff Liberals in March last year – the revolution has given a ruthless spotlight to the smallest state.
This is what members of the public and political experts have made of what unfolded.
Serious? Another election?
The ghost of another trip to the polls – the fourth in seven years – is not welcomed by many observers, where someone describes it as “a clown show”.
“An extremely waste abuse of power of work and the greens … The last thing someone wants is another precious election,” Political Huffy wrote.
“You would think that many of these chosen people are their own state anti,” said Clive.
“The no-alition soon discovered that this type of waste is not in the interest of Australia. Loss of landslides. So the way in Tasmania perpend the same mistakes.”
“Much of what is going on here would be resolved if Tasmania had a more normal structure with a major zone house and a proportional higher house,” Nicholas offered.

Tasmanian policy exchange director Richard Eccleston said that Labor may have misunderstood the willingness of Mr Rockliff to fight further.
“I think Labor hoped it would lead to a change in leadership of the liberal party,” said Dr. Ecclestone.
“Perhaps the most important thing that became crystal clear yesterday was the prime minister’s dedication to stay as a leader of the liberal party and to fight an election campaign.
“He remains a popular leader and perhaps one of the most important assets of the liberal party.“

Mr Rockliff is perhaps well known to voters – but in the heads of some, for the wrong reasons.
“Rockliff holds the state to ransom for a vanity project that will all cost us in the long term,” said Jason.
Opposition leader Dean Winter and Labor also did not escape the Vitriol.
“The only thing that seems to do work is to prove that they would not be better than the current degenerate mob,” Tim said.
“Where is Labor’s alternative budget? How can they say with a straight face that the Liberal Tasmania bring to financial downfall when they have not produced an alternative,” Tracy asked.
Kevin called on the Game of Thrones -Terminology:
“Winter The King-Layer will regret this. I know we will not benefit from Tasmanians.“
Bob was not impressed in the same way:
“Not entirely sure what winter is doing here. He seriously believes that Labor would win a majority in itself if another election was held? Even the liberals couldn’t do that,” he said.
“Seems like a bit of delusion.”
Former Liberal Prime Minister Will Hodgman, was destructive in a post to X:
“An incredibly stupid decision on so many levels. Politically reckless and seriously harmful to the reputation of Tasmania.“

‘Laughing Stock’
The claim of the Lord Winter that he did what he did because the prime minister had “destroyed” the state’s debt position, did not fly with many.
“We are a laugh in our country, all because of a budget?” asked Jes.
Others wondered what alternatives work would have presented.
“Can someone share the alternative plan and the budget that the opposition should have been presented this week?” Requested Phil.
“There is no doubt that the budget of the Rockliff GOVT 2025-26 is an epic mess, but to throw the state in an unprecedented depth of uncertainty is not smart. I fear that the winter is spectacularly calculated,” Ryan said.

Speaking of the stadium, the threatening election has resulted in speculating the AFL team of the State – whose existence is conditional in the construction of the Arena in Macquarie Point – will not happen.
That did not go well at all.
“Tasmania has been treated as poor cousins for too long and now we are being treated as complete fools,” said Chris.
“If this stadium fails, there will be an exodus of young people … Tassie already loses the young people because of greater opportunities, this will not change much,” Garry wrote.

And then there is the spirit of Tasmania “Fiasco”, as Graeme noted.
“Rockliff has shown how incompetent he is, as demonstrated by the TT line and Tasports -FIascos.”
Oliver also used the F-word:
“As a mainland Auspol hack I felt pretty bored after the federal elections. But this fiasco has just made my week – Taspol is so underestimated.“
Ruth asked: “Can we stop strengthening the importance of the stadium?”
“The future of an entire state is at stake here, for example how we afford to deliver the required educational and health services.
“We need bread, no circuses.“

Investment wobbles about instability
Former Prime Minister Peter Gutwein told ABC Radio Magenden yesterday that Mr Rockliff had removed because Prime Minister could lead to “catastrophic results” such as investments.
“That uncertainty, especially if the stadium and the team do not continue, will lead to an opinion of the mainland and investors in Tasmania that you simply cannot trust the state of Tasmania to make decisions,” said Mr. Gutwein.
“That will influence the economy. That influences the income of the state. That will even make the situation worse.“
One ABC public member agreed and said that projects such as the stadium “were vital for the future economic growth of Tasmania” and would unlock “massive opportunities, not just for the AFL team, but for business, tourism, hospitality and beyond”.
“That said, this current parliament could not organize its way from a paper bag.”
