Aurobindo Pharma calls on more than 4,600 bottles of a pain -relieving medicine on the American market because of production problems, according to the American health ruler.
A unity based in the US of the Drugsmajuit, based in Hyderabad, calls 4608 bottles of Acetaminophen tablets (325 mg) in the US because of CGMP (current good production practices) deviations, said the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) in its latest enforcement report.
The affected plot is recalled “due to confirmed complaints from consumers with the observation of tablet discoloration (brown surface on tablets),” it added.
The drug is used to relieve headache, migraine, toothache, back pain and muscle pain
Aurobindo Pharma USA Inc, which was established in Princeton, initiated the II-return campaign on 22 May this year.
According to the USFDA, a class II-return is initiated when the use of or exposure to a violent product can lead to temporary or medically reversible health consequences, or when the risk of serious adverse health results is minimal.
Aurobindo Pharma shares on Friday traded 0.08 percent higher at £ 1,124.05 each on BSE.
