Nathan Jones signed a new five -year contract in Charlton until June 2030.

Jones came to Charlton in February 2024 and led the addicks to promotion to the championship via the League One-Play-Offs in his first full season that was in charge.

Club bosses therefore did to bind the ex Luton and Southampton manager to a new five-year contract, in which Jones was happy to extend his contract, even though he was left with his first contract for another three years.

“I am very proud and delighted. I had three years left, but the club came to me and wanted to continue that journey, meant a lot to me because it is a club that I love.

“We have just taken a big step, but that is only one big step, we still have a long way to achieve our goals and I am happy that I will continue to work there.”

Charlton chairman, Gavin Carter, added that Jones created “a really coherent group” from players and staff to fans, who has given him an early contract renewal because they have the club before the schedule in their long-term vision

Charlton will discover their luminaire schedule in the 2025-26 championship on 26 June at 12.00 BST.
