Responding to the comments of the right M Nagaprasanna that criticize the position and remark of the actor, Velmurugan claimed that “even the judge acted as a cannons.” He accused the court of being partial and said that “together with water justice is also refused in Karnataka.”
The MLA said that if life is banned in Karnataka, “no Kannada film may be screened in Tamil Nadu.” At Tamil Cinema Associations he also insisted on taking a position on the issue.
“Tamil cinema unions are not allowed to employ Kannada actors or technicians until the problem is solved,” said Velmurugan.
His comments come after the High Court of Karnataka High Court had criticized his recent comment “Kannada Language was born from Tamil” During a film promotion event in Chennai. His comments attracted sharp criticism from Pro-Kannada groups, with protests that demanded an apology from the actor and a ban on the release of his film.

Thug Life producers informed the High Court on Tuesday that the film will not be released in Karnataka on 5 June, the planned date for the Pan-India release.
