In the court application, the NSO Group lawyers said that “the disgraceful punitive price exceeds the maximum legal punitive compensation in this case with many orders of size.” The lawyers argued that in punitive compensation in punitive compensation – the $ 167 million – violates limits that say that the jury should not admit compensation “more than four times compensatory damage”, which in this case were $ 444,719.

NSO Group also said in his court that the amount granted in compensation “Coarly exceeds NSO to pay”, and “reflects an incorrect wish to punish NSO.”
