The US Department of the Interior Security sent Harvard a notification of intention on Wednesday to withdraw the certification of the school under a federal program to register non-American students.

Harvard said that losing the right to register international students would hit about a quarter of the student body and destroyed the school.

It has accused Trump administration of alleged bias against conservatives, promoting anti -Semitism on campus and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party.

The Homeland Security department said the Harvard sent the notification after school officials indicated an intention to meet the requirements of the Federal Student and Exchange Visitor, with which Harvard can register non-American students.

“We continue to reject the repeated pattern of Harvard to jeopardize his students and spread the American hatred – it must change his ways to be eligible to receive generous benefits of the American people,” said the secretary of domestic security Kristi calls a statement in a statement.

The university, the oldest and richest in the country, registered nearly 6,800 international students in the current school year, about 27 percent of the total registration.

The relocation of the department would prevent Harvard from registering new international students and requiring existing that they switch to other schools or lose their legal status.
