Auxira Health, a virtual cardiology model, announced his official launch, with the support of Medstar Health and abundant venture partners.
According to Auxira, the model uses a team of advanced practical providers (apps), medical assistants and nurses who work remotely to become an expansion of personal cardiological staff.
Auxira selects and matches apps with doctors who collaborate with a team to handle tasks and offer telehealth visits.
Auxira Health claims to alleviate the administrative burden for doctors by managing tasks such as patient messages, follow-ups and medication management.
The model was initially developed and used by Medstar Health as part of the associated cardiology program of the company.
Medstar Health then worked with Abundant venture partners and “layered in exclusive operational and strategic means” from Studio Red, the American Heart Association Ventures Incubator.
Medstar and abundant enterprise improved the model and brought it to the market, with Medstar Health a co-developer of Auxira, a customer and strategic investor Anker.
“Cardiology practices are under enormous pressure to reach more patients with considerably limited resources,” said Auxira Health -founder and CEO Inna Plumbat told MobiHealthNews.
“We have made Auxira to help teams stay based in the clinical work that matters, by directly in bed in daily workflows and expanding their care capacity. It is a model that is built with and for doctors to meet today’s demand without compromising on quality or connection.”
The larger trend
In April, Reimagine Care joined Medstar Health to integrate its on-demand oncology care platform into the model to provide cancer care of the health system and to help patients with the transition from in-clinical care to the house.
The patient-oriented model of Reimagine Care offers patients tailor-made all-inclusive care from their homes with the help of technology, data insights and a multidisciplinary care team.
The collaboration with Reimagine Care enables Medstar Health to expand its cancer care services outside the clinic, including additional symptom management, external monitoring of patients and supporting care.
In 2024, Medstar Health collaborated with DispatchHealth to bring acute care services to patients recently fired from Medstar facilities in Washington, DC
The partnership was aimed at avoiding takeover and visits, which usually occur 72 hours after discharge.
Medstar Health connected patients with dispatchhealth based on clinical needs and geographical information before their resignation. DispatchHealth offers medical treatments such as laboratories, EKGs, IV fluids and medicines.
This week, Abundant Venture Partners launched the abundant platform aimed at helping startup companies to work with providers.
The platform is offered through the company’s venture studio, which helps startups in health care to get commercial traction, to make contact with target buyers, to form partnerships and receive support for strategic operations.
Abundant Venture Studio members have access to the abundant alliance, a network of health systems that are committed to development and investments and abundant venture funds, which have demonstrated companies that have demonstrated their ability to solve problems for provider organizations.
According to the company, the platform is supported by 17 companies in the health provider, including Christianacare, Kettering Health, Medical University of South Carolina, Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago, Medstar Health and Sharp Healthcare.
