Minister of Industry Sarah Jones criticized the attitude of the previous government towards the European Union, while excluding the prospect to add.
Speaking on good morning great -Britain, she said:
The worst of both worlds was when we had a prime minister who could not even say if France was an ally, and we had such deep -rooted ideological positions that we were absolutely nowhere.
What we have here is a deal where we do not come to the EU. We know what our red lines are on the customs union, internal market. I don’t have to rehearse it.
Where we conclude a deal about certain aspects of trade, there must be an agreement about the rules of the game to stop the one side that slides the other, apart from something else.
Minister: UK-EU deal is ‘sovereign choice’ and not a ‘one-way deal’
Minister of Industry Sarah Jones said that the new deal with the EU was a “sovereign choice” and not a “one -way deal”, despite the widespread criticism that the government had seemed great concessions about fishing rights with the EU.
The MP for Croydon West appeared on Good Morning Britain, said Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid that “it is not at all a deal because we will earn a huge amount of money in terms of the export that we can now.”
Jones claimed that the deal was welcomed, Jones said it didn’t mean that the UK would not say in rules that had been set and told viewers:
What will happen is that we will have conversations about those rules. As you say, any form of control change must go through a parliamentary process and there will be an arbitration process where we can solve any conflicts. I do not foresee conflicts because we do not want to reduce our standards.
And you know, the tories, when they brought in [their] Deal, said, you know, now we can deviate from the EU. That did not happen because we do not want to reduce those standards.
Jones regretted the trade conditions that had been introduced with the EU by the conservative Brexit deal and said:
We have made a sovereign choice to do this, because it is a practical, pragmatic response to the terrible situation we had where we could not act with our nearest trading partners. We could not even trade on sausages or chopped meat at all. This is much better. It will place more money in the pockets of people than being good for jobs.
Reeves Eyes Gulf Trade Pact as ‘Next Deal’ of the British government

Rachel Reeves Said that the British government closes a trading pact with six golf countries, including Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as the next big deal.
The Chancellor told the BBC that the agreement would be the “next deal” of the government, because it wants to increase the trade tires after Brexit.
Reeves suggested that economic growth would be enhanced by recent trade agreements with the United States, the EU and India, all ink within fourteen days.
Great -Britain is in a better place than any other country in the world in terms of deals with those countries.
The first deal and the best deal so far with the US, we have the best deal with the EU for every country outside the EU, and we have the best trade agreement with India.
The Chancellor also said that the UK “was not looking for trade negotiations with China”.
At the beginning of April, Minister of Foreign Affairs David Lammy Labor constantly said discussions with the Golf about a trade agreement, which were started by the previous conservative government.
Priti Patel: UK-EU is a betrayal of Brexit by ‘self-satisfied’ Keir Starmer
The Shadow Foreign Secretary, Priti Patel, has said that the government’s deal with the EU is a betrayal of Brexit and accused the prime minister of making “self -satisfied” comments in announcing it.
Speaking at the GB news canal, the conservative MP for Witham said:
Keir Starmer never believed in Brexit. He spent his time with a campaign to perform the Brexit. He was unfair with the British audience. In fact, he did not go in the general elections last year and said that his reset would mean that we would become a line contractor again. He misled the British audience.
Asked about Starmer’s remark that the deal placed the country on the world stage again, said Patel:
To be honest, that is completely waste from Keir Starmer. Not for the first time. It was great -Britain that the international efforts led when it came to the illegal invasion of Russia in Ukraine. So I think he should leave and do some homework.
And of course they were conservatives in the government that brought the way when it came to Great Britain after the Brexit, our place in the world, which secure those trade agreements, more than 70 trading agreements during our anniversary in the government.
So we are not going to listen to that nonsense of Keir Starmer. He just wants to betray great Britain and the democratic voice of the British people. And I think he really has to go back and calibrate his very self -satisfied comments.
Minister of the Industry: UK-EU deal does not mean that the country is recovering from the EU
All costs for taxpayers of the government deal with the EU will outweigh the economic benefits, according to industrial minister Sarah Jones, who insisted that the UK did not come to the EU.
Speaking on Sky News, she said:
As a result, we do not pay for access to markets. That’s not what we do. We don’t get to the EU. Where we will pay, and these things will be negotiated, where we will pay is where there are joint costs that have to be paid.
