The Indian embassy in Portugal gave an answer after a protest organized by Pakistani subjects outside the Chanery building near the Embassy office in Lisbon. The demonstrations call a “desperate provocation”, the embassy said that India reacted firmly through “Operation Sindoor”.

“The Embassy of India in Portugal responded firmly with ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the coward protest organized by Pakistan near our Channyy building. We thank the government of Portugal and its police authorities for their support in guaranteeing safety and safety of the embassy,” wrote in a post about X.

The message also contained photos of Indian officials on the balcony of the embassy office with the banners on the wall, with the text: “Operation Sindoor is not over yet”.

The ‘cowardly’ protest, the embassy said: “India will not be intimidated by such a desperate provocations. Our determination remains unchanged.”

The ambassador of India in Portugal, Puneet Roy Kundal, also went to X and said that the protests organized by Pakistan was a quiet but strong and determined message that “Operation Sindoor is not yet over”.

“All embassy officers were steadfast in this approach,” he added.

India-Pakistan Tensions

Indian armed forces On 7 May, Operation Sindoor launched, including nine terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-used Kashmir. The intended military operation was a reaction to the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, where 26 civilians were killed by terrorists on 22 April.

India has clarified that her reaction was targeted, measured and non-escalating. Pakistan, however, escalated the conflict after it had launched a swarm of drones and rocket attacks on Indian territory, forcing New Delhi to respond.

After days of fighting, the director of Military Operations (DGMO) of Pakistan contacted his Indian counterpart, and both parties reached a strike -the – -enclosure that applies to land, sea and air.
