May 16, 2025 (MLN): The Benchmark KSE-100 Index closed the trade session on Friday at 119,649.14, with a decrease of 312.77 points or 0.26%.
The index traded in a range of 965.02 points, with an intraday high from 120.506.17 (+544.26) and a low point of 119,541.15 (-420.76) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 index was 235.07 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies, 47 are closed, 51 closed, while 2 were unchanged.
Top losers during the day were PGLC (-5.89%), PSEL (-5.12%), Pael (-3.45%), TRG (-2.76%) and DGKC (-2.62%).
On the other hand, top amplifiers were Poml (+10.00%), ISL (+7.18%), Mughal (+6.97%), Lothem (+6.55%) and inil (+5.74%).
In terms of index point contributions, companies that dragged the lower index were FFC (-148.47pts), happiness (-75.24pts), Mari (-70.90pts), OGDC (-48.11pts) and PSO (-44.72pts).
In the meantime, companies that added points to the Index Engroh (+53.80pts), UBL (+48.80pts), Bahl (+36.16pts), BAFL (+34.89pts) and SRVI (+28.49pts).
With regard to sector, KSE-100 index, fertilizer (-190.84pts), cement (-172.07pts), oil and gas worrying companies (-151.37pts), oil and gas marketing companies (-64.51pts) and various (-37.73pts).
While the index was supported by commercial banks (+187.54pts), pharmaceuticals (+63.01pts), engineering (+57.39pts), inv. Banks / inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+42.22pts) and Chemical (+30.29pts).
In the wider market, the All-Share index closed at 74.209.25 with a net loss of 31.27 points or 0.04%.
The total market volume was 572.29 million shares compared to 698.97 million from the previous session, while the traded value was registered on RS29.03 billion with a fall in RS10.06 billion.
There were 343,444 transactions reported in 465 companies with 206 closure, 209 closure and 50 remain unchanged.
