The Minnesota Twins will strive for a seasonal whip of six games with the Baltimore Orioles when the teams meet on Thursday afternoon.

The twins have a 10-game extraction streak-the longest in the big competitions this season after Wednesday to have swept a double header in Baltimore.

“Just a good baseball,” said Minnesota infielder Kody Clemens, who has a go-ahead home run in the eighth inning of game 2. “We trust each other on the record and give the baton to every man. All day collected.”

Minnesota, who won three games against Baltimore last week, prevailed in Baltimore, with 6-3 and 8-6 in the Doublehead that was disputed after a weather-related delay on Tuesday.

The Orioles have lost eight of their last 10 games.

“You come back (Thursday) and you have a day game,” said Orioles manager Brandon Hyde. “We have to place (Wednesday) behind us. It was a long day, a really disappointing day. We have to rinse and come back (Thursday).”

The Orioles have fallen to a seasonal 11 games in below .500. They don’t seem to respond in clutch situations because they stranded 16 runners on Wednesday.

Of their 15 total hits in the Twin Bill, Gunnar Henderson had four and Ryan Mountcastle had three.

Minnesota scored 14 points in the Doublehead, with five of those in the eighth and ninth innings because there was slip from the Baltimore bullpen.

“Teams get against us in big places and we are struggling to do that,” said Hyde.

Clemens came to the twins at the end of April and he hits .227 with two homers and six RBIs with his new club.

“Get a good pitch to hit and make sure I get my ‘a’ swing off,” he said.

Baltimore will send right-handed Tomoyuki Sugano (4-2, 2.72 ERA) to the hill on Thursday, hoping that he can repeat the kind of outing that he had on Friday in a victory against the Los Angeles Angels. He gave one point on three hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Sugano still has to face the twins in his career. He worked at least seven innings in three of his eight starts and did not allow a walk in one of those competitions, although he spent at least one walk in his other five starts.

Chris Paddack (1-3, 4.76 ERA) is charged with expanding the winning series of Minnesota. The best and longest outing of the right -handed of the season came against the San Francisco Giants on Friday, when he only delivered one point and three hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Paddack is 2-1 with an ERA of 6.19 in three career starts 16 innings against the Orioles. He did not threw in the series in Baltimore last week.

The Orioles scored in just two of the 18 innings of the Double Header, so they bundled their runs but didn’t have much anymore.

“We had a hard time adding,” said Hyde. “We talked a lot about that. I thought we created both games a lot of traffic. The big hits were hard to come by for us (except Cedric Mullins’ Grand Slam in the sleeping cap).”

The twins can have on Thursday on line -up adjustments. First Honkman Ty France missed a match for the first time this year when he was the second half of the Doublehead because of a bruised right foot. He left the first match shortly after polluting a ball of the foot.

In the second game, Minnesota -outfielder Harrison Bader left because of the tightness of the Lies. Neither France nor Bader is expected to miss a long -term piece.
