The five-fold Wimbledon winner and two-time US Open Champion will participate in the Washington Tournament that runs from July 21-27.

“I am excited to accept a wildcard for the DC Open. There is something very special about DC: the energy, the fans, history,” said Williams. “This city has always shown me so much love and I can’t wait to compete again.”

Former world number one Williams played in the event in 2022 and participated in Washington for a few years in World Team Tennis.
