A German backpacker who was found in Wa’s Outback for 12 days.
The ABC has confirmed that Carolina Wilga, 26, was discovered alive on Friday afternoon.
Before that, Mrs. Wilga was last seen on June 29 in a store in Beacon in Wa’s Wheatbelt, three and a half hours drive northeast of Perth.

The police discovered her abandoned vehicle deep in a nature reserve 36 kilometers north of the city on Thursday afternoon and carried out a large -scale air examination.
A police spokesperson said that Mrs. Wilga was found “safe and well”.
WA Police inspector Martin Glynn said that Mrs. Wilga was found who walked along a bush track on the edge of the Karroun Hill Nature Reserve by a member of the audience.

“She is now on her way to a hospital in Perth for some medical help,” he said at a media conference just after 5:30 pm.
“As you can imagine the trauma that she has suffered in recent days, she clearly endured a lot.

“She has some injuries, she has been destroyed by mosquitoes, she has experienced an incredible journey from trauma.
“No doubt, [it] will be proof of demonstrating her courage in these circumstances. “

The police plane with Mrs. Wilga arrived just before 6.30 pm at the Jandakot airport of Perth and from there she was taken to the hospital by ambulance for an audit.
‘Fragile state’
Inspector Glynn said that Mrs. Wilga had flown away from Beacon and her family had been informed of her well -being.
He said that she was in a “fragile state” and the circumstances she had endured would have been “a thousand times worse” than the difficult seekers of site.

“You always go out with the best hope that you will find the person and this is clearly a great result for everyone involved,” said Inspector Glynn.
“I think once we hear her story, it will be a remarkable story.

“She has dealt with a number of great circumstances, it is a very hostile environment that is both of flora and fauna … and the weather conditions have been really detrimental to temperatures that fall zero at night.”
Inspector Glynn said that while the backpacker had slight injuries, she did not seem to be seriously injured.

WA Premier Roger Cook posted on social media at 5:45 PM WST thank those who helped in the search.
“This news is downright remarkable,” he wrote.
“Thanks to our emergency services and everyone who has searched, and the family supported the family through this test – thanks.
“We still have to have the full picture of what happened, but tonight we can all breathe a little easier knowing that Carolina is safe and good.”
Mrs. Wilga has been gesturing in Australia for the past two years and recently worked on mining sites in Regional Wa.
