YSRCP President Ys Jagan Mohan Reddy has accused the NDA government in the state of hiring repressive tactics against protesting farmers, while the failure to offer minimal support prices (MSP) for important crops.
Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy, who visited Bangarupalem on Wednesday to express his solidarity with the Mango farmers, claimed that the government used the police to “hold, hit and bother the farmers and YSRCP supporters. On Thursday to X he took the prevailing coalition with the use of friendly media to distort facts.
“More than 76,000 mango farmers that cultivate in more than 2.2 Lakh hectare are forced to throw away their products due to a lack of MSP,” he said.
While the government announced £ 4 per kg and instructed factories to pay £ 8 per kg, JD (s) leader HD Kumaraswamy assured a central insurance for £ 16 per kg. “This is a price accident caused by humans. The deliberate delay in the purchases of Pulp Factory has caused an abundance. The goal is clear: to benefit company connoisseurs such as Galla Factory and Srini Foods,” he claimed.
The YSRCP administration, on the other hand, had bought crops worth £ 7,800 crore, maintained a £ 3,000 crore price stabilization fund and ensured a timely implementation of schemes such as Annadata Sukhibhava, he said. “Today there is no CM app, no input subsidy, no free crop insurance, no RBKs, no fertilizers distribution and no transparency. Promised payment of £ 20,000 has not been made for two years now,” he said.
“MSP for basic crops such as padie, cotton, chili, jowar, ragi, corn, banana, onion and tobacco has disappeared,” he added.
