Taylor Fritz has reached Wimbledon’s semi -final for the first time and spoke about the role of his girlfriend Morgan Riddle after winning his quarterfinals on SW19
Taylor Fritz may have celebrated to reach the semi-final of Wimbledon, but the American tennis-axis left the All England Club with slight shame about his choice of words about his girlfriend. The 27-year-old fought to the semi-final with a triumph of four set against Karen Khahanov, despite the fact that she encountered technical problems with the electronic scheduled group system during their match.

“Almost like a kind of normal mother me in a way with, such as, the diet and go to sleep on time. But just having someone to always push you in the right direction, to support you, it helps a lot.
“There is a clear correlation between my results and ranking and the time that we have been together.” But when he was investigated about his earlier “Mother Me” remark at the end of his press conference, a smiling Fritz admitted: “Yes, that might not be the best choice of words.”
The couple started their relationship after connecting a dating app during the COVID-19 Pandemie. Riddle had previously posted the self -critical note that Fritz had written in 2021. The blunt message was: “Nobody in the whole world is harder than you, you are so f ****** good, but 40 in the world get your f ****** s *** together.”
The post of the context explained Riddle’s message: “A note Taylor wrote itself on the bus in Wimbledon on my phone after he lost and stopped from the Top 40 Hahaaha.” Fritz addressed the crowd after his quarterfinals triumph in Wimbledon and seemed to be somewhat uncomfortable with the publicity of the memorandum, but acknowledged how it had fueled his improvement.
“At the time I felt that my ranking was slipping and I came back from an operation and I didn’t play to the level where I thought I should play,” Fritz admitted. “That note was never considered to be public … I raged about it to my girlfriend and she said:” Write it up, look at it. “”.

It is expected that Riddle will be present for the semi-final of Fritz against reigning Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz this Friday. Alcaraz secured its place by beating the British Aas Cameron Norrie in straight sets.
