2 Death after apparent murder suicide in NH Restaurant

A man apparently shot an employee in a Mexican restaurant in New Hampshire on Sunday and killed her before taking his own life in a bathroom. The incident is treated as a likely suicide, the office of the New Hampshire attorney general announced John Formella.

The shootings took place in La Casita, a restaurant on Hillside Avenue in Berlin. At around 9.45 am the police responded to the restaurant after a call from 911 about gunshots.

Inside they found Sandra Marisol Fuentes Huaracha, a 25-year-old employee, dead of Scot wounds behind the bar.

Later they discovered Michael Gleason Jr., 50, dead in one of the bathrooms in La Casita. He “suffered an apparent self -laid shot wound,” said civil servants.

Fuentes Huaracha and Gleason had previously had a domestic relationship with each other, said formella’s office. Both were declared dead on the spot and officials said there is no continuous threat to the public.

An investigation is underway. Civil servants said that more information would be released after autopsies were carried out on Monday.
